About

About Me

I grew up in a household where fitness and nutrition were everything. Both of my parents had competed at the professional level in powerlifting and bodybuilding. I began working out as early as five. I learned at a young age that staying active was more than just maintaining an appearance. I was forced to read the nutrition labels on everything and the only snack we had in the pantry was earl grey tea. As I grew older I became more interested in why things had the effects they did. As a current medical student with a degree in biology and a specialization in endocrinology from the University of Chicago, I spent plenty of time learning about how the body worked in class and then relating it to my fitness goals. My favorite literature to read has been scientific articles and research relating to the progression of a healthy lifestyle. There are many myths and trends in the fitness industry but rarely are their basis understood by the public. My ultimate goal is to inform everyone from beginners to veterans on how to make progress towards their goals using basic science.

Additional Note:

Knowledge is a lifelong endeavor. Check out Dr. Peter Attia's website to follow some of the incredible work he has done throughout his career. He has a free podcast I highly recommend and recently came out with a book that is informative to members of all backgrounds.
